I, Thery C.
Pope of said State & County being of sound & disposing mind & memory do
make this my last Will and Testament.
Item First
I give,
bequeath & devise to my son Joseph H. Pope the following property to
wit: fifty acres of land of lot no. eighty five of the fifth dist. of
originally Dooly, now Wilcox County, Georgia, the same being lying in
the northwest corner of said lot of land free from all charges,
limitation whatever to his own proper use, profit & behoof., also three
head of cattle, one hog, also all of my household & kitchen furniture,
beds & bedsteads & bed clothing, cooking utensils & tables, bureau,
chest, clock, except one bed & mattress & bedstead pillows & bedclothing
to go with the bed.
Item Second
I bequeath
& devise to my daughter Mary Jane Miller the following property to wit:
one bedstead which was her fathers, one quilt, solid collar, one sheet.
Item Third
I hereby
constitute & appoint my friend Samuel P. Wilson executor of this my last
Will & Testament.

declared & published by Thery C. Pope as her last Will & Testament in
the presence of us the subscribers, who subscribe our names hereto in
the presence of us the said Testator at her instance & request & of each
other, she signing in our presence & we signing in her presence.

We, J.J.
Brown & Linson L. Brown saw the within Thery C. Pope sing & publish the
within paper as her last Will & Testament that we subscribed the same as
witnesses thereto at the special instance & request of the said Thery C.
Pope in her presence as did also J.D. Paul, that the said Thery C. Pope
signed the same publicly & voluntarily & was at that time of such
signing of sound disposing mind & memory.
