Will of Sarah Ball

Wilcox County

 In the name of God Amen I Sarah Ball of the State of Georgia and County of Wilcox being of Advance age and affected within body & infirmity and knowing that my decease is near at hand do make this my Last Will and Testament Being at this time of Sound Mind.

Item 1st it is my will and desire that at my death I be Buried in a decent and Christian Like manner.

Item 2nd it is my will that my Just Debts if any be paid out of the property which I Die possessed of and after the payment of the Same is done by my beloved Sister Charity Ball with whom I now live and with whom I expect to die. My will is that my said sister Charity Ball have all the property that I Die possessed of Consisting of stock note household and kitchen furniture.

 To C.S. McCall Ordinary of Said County the petition of Charity Ball of said County Showeth that Sarah Ball Late of said county departed this life on the 16th day of February 1889 after having made her Last Will and Testament wherin your petitioner anonanted  the Executor which with your (illegible word) produce in Court and prays this same may be admitted to record as the proof ther of in Sollam form and Letters testamentary issue to her in term of law this March 4th 1889

I Tabitha Smith do swear that I as well as James W. Smith and Eli Smith saw the within named Sarah E. Ball sign and publish the within paper as her Last Will & Testament and I subscribed the same as a witness at the special instance and request of said Sarah E. Ball and in her presents as did also James W. Smith and Eli Smith and that the said Sarah E. Ball signed the same fairly and voluntarily and was at the time of sound and disposing mind & memory.

I Eli Smith do swear that I as well as James W. Smith and Eli Smith saw the within named Sarah E. Ball sign and publish the within paper as her Last Will & Testament and I subscribed the same as a witness at the special instance and request of said Sarah E. Ball and in her presents as did also Tabitha Smith and James W. Smith and that the said Sarah E. Ball signed the same fairly and voluntarily and was at the time of sound mind & memory.

I Charity Ball do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true Last Will and Testament of the within named Sarah E. Ball Deceased as far as I know and Believe and I will well and trusting execute the same in accordance with Law So help me God.
