Last Will
and Testament of John J. Finlyson or Finleyson

In the name
of God, amen I John Finlyson of the County of Wilcox & State of Georgia
being of sound mind & memory & being desirous to settle my worldly
affairs which I have thought so to do make & publish this my last will &
Testament hereby revoking all wills heretofore made.
Item 1 - I
commit my soul to God who gave it & my body is desire to be buried as my
circumstances in a neat & christianlike manner at a place hereby
designated as a family burial ground & my worldly estate disposed of as
follows.
Item 1st
I wish all my just debts to be paid
Items 2nd
I wish all the property with which a kind Providence has blessed me both
real & personal to remain together for the natural benefit of m family
until the youngest come of age or marry, then I wish all my property
equally divided amongst all my legal heirs, except my (2) two eldest
Elam Holt and L.S. Pearce, who have already had (illegible) hundred
dollars which same I wish decreased from their distribution.
Item 3rd
I hereby appoint & constitute my wife V.B. Finlyson administrix of my
estate (illegible words) In witness whereof I John Finlyson here to the
set my hand & seal this 20th July 1878.
