I, T. Gottlieb of said State and County being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament.

 

Item First. I give and bequeath to my wife Becky Gottlieb one half of all personal property of which I may die possessed to her own proper use benefit and behoof.

 

Item Second. the other half of the personal property of which I may died possessed I give and bequeath to my children who may at that time be living to their own proper use benefit and behoof.

 

Item Third. It is my will and desire that all real estate of which I may die possessed, shall be divided between my wife and my children who may be living at the time of my death share and share alike.

 

Item Fourth. The bequests herein made to my wife are in lieu of the dower to which she would otherwise be entitled.

 

Item Fifth. It is my will and desire that all debts that I may owe at the time of my death and all burial expenses and all other expenses of my estate shall be first paid out of my personal estate before the real estate is encroached upon.

 

Item Sixth. I appoint my brother in law B. Haisfield executor of this my last will and testament this 27th day of February 1897.

Signed declared and published by T. Gottlieb as his last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers who subscribe our names hereto in the presence of said testator (at his instance and request) and of each other he signed in our presence and we signed in his presence.
