Last Will
and Testament of Mrs. Eliza Reid

Wilcox County
In the name
of God Amen I Eliza Reid of said State and County being of sound and
disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament hereby
revoking and annulling all others by me heretofore made.
1st
I desire and direct that my body be buried in a Christian like manner
suitable to my Circumstances and Conditions in life.
2nd
I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without unnecessary
delay by my Executor hereinafter to be named and appointed.
3rd
I bequeath and devise to the lawful heirs of my deceased brother George
W. Player the sum of five dollars in money to be divided among them
share and share alike.
4th
I bequeath and devise to my sister Lucy Tomberlin the sum of five
dollars in money.
5th
I bequeath and devise to the lawful heir of my deceased sister Francis
C. Luke the sum of five dollars in money to be divided among them share
and share alike.
6th
I bequeath and devise to the lawful heirs of my deceased brother Z.T.
Player the sum of five dollars in money to be divided among them share
and share alike.
7th
I bequeath and devise to my brother H.C. Player for and during his
natural life my home place in Rochelle GA Comprising City lot number (4)
Four in block no. 4) Four Owens survey being part of land number (145)
one hundred and Forty five in the 12 District of Wilcox
County GA. After his death I bequeath and devise said home place to my
Great Nephew Reid Player in fee simple should he live to the full age of
twenty one years of die during his minority leaving children But should
he die under the age of twenty one years leaving no children I devise
and bequeath the said home place after his death to my niece Mrs.
Elizabeth McRae wife of Dr Charles D. McRae in fee simple. I hereby
appoint Dr. Charles D. McRae trustee for Reid Player to manage said
property for him in case it shall become his before he arrives at the
age of twenty one years.
8th
I bequeath and devise to my Niece Mrs. Elizabeth McRae wife of Dr. Chas
D. McRae the sum of One ($1000.00) thousand dollars in money Also one
feather bed one mattress one pair of feather pillows and the large
picture of her Grandfather G. R. Reid deceased now hanging on the wall
of the East front room in my house.
9th
I bequeath and devise to my great nephew Reid Player the sum of Three
($3000.00) thousand dollars in money in the event he shall live till he
is twenty one years old or shall die during his minority leaving
children. But should said Reid Player die during his minority leaving no
children then I bequeath and devise said $3000.00 Three thousand dollars
as designed for him to my great nephew George A. Player Jr. I hereby
appoint Dr. Chas. D. McRae Trustee for Reid Player for the management of
said Three thousand dollars till said Reid Player becomes twenty one
years old or dies before that time leaving children.
10th
I bequeath and devise to my great nephew Reid Player one feather bed one
mattress one pair of pillows three sheets twelve quilts and two
counterpanes and two coverlets n the event he shall live till he is
twenty one years old or shall die during his minority leaving children.
But should said Reid Player die during his minority leaving no children
then I bequeath and devise the said articles so designed for said Reid
Player to my great nephew George A. Player Jr.
11th
I bequeath and devise to my great nephew George A. Player Jr. all the
rest and residue of my estate not herein before disposed of and which
may remain in the hands of my Executor after the specific legacies
herein named have been delivered and paid over and after all expenses of
executing this will shall have been paid off and discharged.
12th
I hereby name and appoint Dr. Chas. D. McRae Executor of this will. He
shall not be required to make any bond nor to report to any Court his
acts and doings as such executor except that he shall take receipts from
the beneficiaries herein named for their respective legacies and have
said receipts placed on record in the Court of Ordinary of Said County
of Wilcox. He shall receive for his service the compensation allowed to
administrators under the Laws of Georgia and he shall be allowed to pay
out of my estate all personal and necessary expenses for carrying out
the provisions of this will. Should Dr. Chas D. McRae die or become
otherwise disqualified before this will has been fully executed I hereby
appoint as my executor to succeed him Robert R. Reid and the same terms
as to bond reports and accounting shall apply to him as to Dr. Chas. D.
McRae. This twelfth day of September 1913.

sealed declared and published by Eliza Reid as her last will and
testament in the presents of the undersigned who subscribe our names
hereto in the presence of said testator after she had signed her name
thereto and at her special instance and bequest and in the presence of
each other this 12th day of September 1913.
